Great one Sheridan, how is anyone gonna follow with a clip after that? Devil's Rejects, I love this part because you get to see some of the pure evil of a devil's reject......

Alien is by far one of my favorite movies. I think you all can guess the scene I'm posting.

Man the effects aren't quite up to the rest of the scene. The alien is too rigid, and then skids off the table like one of those wind up toy cars. What's the movie where the alien comes out of John Hurt again then dons a top hat and stick and sings "Hello My Baby, Hello My Darling, Hello My Good Time Gal" and taps up and down a bar?

That's right around the end of Spaceballs. The rest of the crew from the Nostromo is present, although only with look-a-likes instead of the actual actors.

Here is a Michael Myers kill, its from the 6th film titled Halloween, The Curse Of Michael Myers. I like this scene just because its brutal, oh and dont watch it any further than 45 secs, there really is no point to cause nothis cool happens. Well enjoy.....

He seriously has a thing for sticking people to walls. First there was the iconic kill in the first movie (butcher knife through chest to closet door), then there was the sheriff's daughter in the fourth flick who got the gun through the gut, and then into the wall. In Resurrection (which is the best subtitle for a sequel, by the way, so classy) the woman got run into the fence, so that's sort of like sticking her into a wall. Then of course, the remake referenced the kill in the original.
That's just his thing I guess.

Ok, I need to see a Rob Zombie movie, cause I loved that Devil's Rejects clip. This is so much fun. Here's my pick, cheesy as it is nowadays, this ending absolutely ruined me as a kid, and through all the 50s silliness there's still a shill to be found when he looks right in the camera:

Phantasm - Oh, I missed the clip. Repost if you can. Misery - That's why she got the Oscar. I bet she votes Hillary Clinton. The Shining - Iconic. "Here's Johnny" was taken from a popular talk show at the time. Has anybody seen this version? Tyler - Good point about Michael Myers. He'd be the best slasher to go to if you wanted to hang a painting.

For those who missed it the first time.... Here is a scene from Phantasm, This is the first time in the movie you get to see the ball kill someone. This scene terified me when I was a kid because the Tall Man runs so fast after the kid. He just creeped me out when I was little, he is old, evil and he can chase you down! This scene also scared me as a child because of the yellow blood, I am not for sure why that frightened me, but it sure did! watch for your self....

Anyone else notice when he's biting the arm there, they added the sound effect of someone biting an apple?
That is a great scene, so many good ideas in that movie. If any of you have never been introdued to the series, Phantasm 2 is a very decent standalone film, with some hilarious central performances.

Invasion Of The Body Snatchers - The only thing worse than realising you're making out with a pod person, is realising you're making out with a dude. I always thought in a way that the ending of Body Snatchers movies are a bit of a cop-out, from a screenwriting point of view it's much easier to say "And, er, everyone dies", than it is to find a plausible way back.

Yeah the Phantasm series is awesome! It is real hard to find Phantasm 2 on dvd! Phantasm 5 is coming out, and it has the same people who were in all 4 other films as well, I am going to find an article on it and post it up!
I have never seen Invasion of the Body Snatchers, I needs too though!

There are 4 main versions, of very differing quality:
1956's Invasion of the Body Snatchers - A bit dated for my tastes.
1978's Invasion of the Body Snatchers - Easily the best in my opinion. In fact, blows them out the water.
80s version - Average, bit dull.
2007's The Invasion - Total pants.

I literally know nothing about Phatasam except there's akiller ball and the clip I just watched. I relaly liked it, but like with most horror classics I see later in life, I'm put off by the cheese factoer. I think cause I build them up in my head as these terrifying things, and I don't realize that I've been tainted by hyper-realistic gore and terror that wasn't around when these films were made.
I guess that's why Invasion still gives me the creeps, despite the cheese, because it's the idea that's so damn creepy.
But Sheridan, you're right, the ending is a writing cop out. Much like On the Beach or War of the Worlds - the story is inherently weak, but at the same time makes it a unique kind of story. Look what happened with the last one, Invasion, when they tried the "cure" route. It was awful.
The 70s version of Invasion probably is the best. The scream at the end is chilling, the human headed dog is unsettling to say the least ... and boobs. Really great boobs if I remember right. Or at least a bare back.
