O.K - lets not be so negative with all the lists of who sucks, lets celebrate our love of film and say who (in our humble opinions) are the finest actors/ actresses and the roles we'd like to see them in.

(if anyone suggest Christian Slater appear in remakes of any Jack Nicholson films I'll have to press the big red button)

Best Actress: Susan Sarandon (I'd watch her in anything)
Actor: Theres no actor whose appearance would guarantee my watching a film, but I'd gladly see Tom Cruise playing the role of corpse on Celebrity Big Brother.  I'd watch that for weeks...

But we're celebrating who sucks...

Christian Slater in a remake of The Shining would be perfect.

Christian Bale is probably the only actor who makes me seriously consider watching a film that would have no appeal otherwise (hello Harsh Times).

I'd like to see Oprah Winfrey take on the role of the Oracle in The Matrix.

That would be great. Faris is one of the few genuinely amusing actresses in Hollywood.

If they ever remade Chariots of Fire.. the boy Mel the zealot Gibson would be a shoe in for Eric Liddle.. hell he's already rinsed the dodgy scots accent once.

*Laughs* Now thats an interesting picture in my head. Oprah Winfrey becoming the "Oracle" in the Matrix. Then if that role is taken who's going to be Neo and so forth?..

Put Tom Cruise as Neo. Instead of a wooden "are you okay? you need something to eat?" performance, we'd get his shit-eatting grin-mug gazing out at us. "I KNOW KUNG FU!!"

My dream role has already come true:

Seth Rogen in a Kevin Smith movie.

That would horrible, seriously listen to yourself. Tom Cruise?, where the hell did you get that idea from?.
For Neo I would have to say James Bond..*laughs*..
I would have to say Aeon Flux or Kate Beckinsale for Trinity.

Actors:

Russel Crowe - as a heroin addict
Christian Bale - he's already played everything, so how about full body make-up in a sci-fi movie?
Toby Jones - as a bond villian
Phillip Seymore Hoffman - as someone normal and not sleazy
Will "Stranger Than Fiction" Ferrell - A Confederacy of Dunces . . . if they EVER make it.

Actresses:

Amy Adams - anything and everything, but mostly a remake of The Great Gatsby
Catherine Keener - as an evil, conniving bitch
Nicole Kidman - as a bad guy . . . which it looks like we'll get with Golden Compass, it doesn't get much worse than killing God unless you're the Church of England.
Cate Blanchet - as anything but an elf goddess
Meryl Streep - as the evil witch from Enchanted

Warrick Dunn?? This is 'Who's The Best Actor', not 'Who's The Best American Football Player' or 'Who's Your Favourite Person'. I nominate my Grandfather because he made some very intricate model boats.

That'll teach me to read nfl.com first !

I meant Warrick Davis.. though I reckon he might make a great Atlanta Falcons running back, charging thru the legs of all those man mountains whilst jabbing them in the crotch with his wee spear.

Men In Black III?

Ok, I'll give that one a go, the people I'd prefer to see in it other than Tommy Lee Jones and Samuel L Jackson:

Tommy Lee (famous for being a drummer in Motley Crue, dating Pamela Anderson, and apparently being a cock-double for King Kong)

and

Michael Jackson (famous for...lots of stuff, but on the cleaner side of things, he has sold a LOT of records)

I think this pairing would create movie gold, anyone else agree?

DJaws has to like Captain America now. He wanted Toby Jones as a Bond villain, his role in Cap is basically that, if not better. He's never be able to play a character like Arnim Zola in a modern Bond movie.

Leonardo DiCaprio - Brainiac in a Superman movie
Robert DeNiro - Anything in another Terry Gilliam movie. Actually, just a spinoff of his character in Brazil.
Dustin Hoffman - A shady member of the government in a Bourne movie.
Daniel Day-Lewis - Doctor Strange
Josh Brolin - A private detective in a classic style noir movie
Tom Hardy - He would have made a good Batman after Christian Bale if he weren't Bane in The Dark Knight Returns...
Sigourney Weaver - An old Outlaw in a Western, Unforgiven style
