King Kong (remake), seriously, everyone I talk to hates this movie with a passion.
Halloween (original) none of my friends understand the rules that must be followed in order to exist in a horror film
Sci-fi channel flicks, figured I'd lump them all together.  I have only one friend that I can watch these with and enjoy the hell out of.  To everyone else, they're stupid (which is undeniably true)

I haven't seen Riding the Bullet cause the trailer put me off. What do you like about it?

What the heck is Meantime?

The trailer for Riding the Bullet sucks so badly so I don't blame you for not seeing it. Its hard to explain why I liked it to be honest but mostly I think I liked just the overall look of the movie, if that makes sense. Its starts off in the 60/70s drug culture and transitions to Alan trying to get a ride on a really creepy looking night, I also liked the people he got picked up by the old man was interesting.... I though it was well done, despite a lot of rather annoying flashbacks.

Meantime is a British film about a unemployed lower class family. Mike Leigh directed it and a few of the actors are Phil Daniels, Alfred Molina, Tim Roth and Marion Bailey. I dont know why I like this one either no one I know has seen it and im pretty sure if I made them watch it they'd fall asleep.

I've got another one, Tom Savini's 'Night Of The Living Dead' remake.

If you look at the mood, score and the way it's shot, it clearly inspired the original Resident Evil game more than Romero's trilogy (which are all filmed in a different style).

Southland Tales

Star Trek IV: The Final Frontier

Vanilla Sky

And the one sure to get folks pissed: X3 (and I'm ready to defend it)

I also adore the first ten minutes, middle ten minutes, and final 30 minutes of Death Proof.
