Two new pics have surfaced for the remake of Wes Craven's Last House on the Left. You can't tell the quality of a movie from two simple still frames, but the first one seems to capture the original vibe pretty well.

When the sign makes no sense, just keep walking.

The second image, however, is a bit more Platinum Dunes-generic:

Josh Brolin picks up another "date."

Fans of the original, haters of the remake, and everyone in between will be able to scream their opinion when this flick is released in 2009.

I just recently watched the orignal for the first time the other day, I really liked it, it is so different from any other type of horror film I have ever seen!
I am curious too see what comes of the remake, and does anyone know if Wes Craven has anything to do with it?

Dunno actually. Production values look high, so I'd be surprised if it was straight to dvd.

Yeah hopefully its not degraded to a strait to DVD release.

Speaking of movies being degraded, I cant believe that Children of the Corn is being demoted to a Scifi channel movie, I love the original, but wouldnt mind it to be remade with a higher budget!
