A new full-length trailer for TERMINATOR SALVATION is now online, despite the fact it was originally suppose to make its debut on Friday when it plays before the theatrical-release of THE EARTH STOOD STILL. So how it is?
There are definitely some exciting visuals to be seen. And its always great to see Christian Bale in full ass-kicking mode. But with that said, I do still have my doubts about the project. Director McG, who seems more interested in cool visuals than storytelling, is definitely one of my chief worries. He comes across as more of a choice with an eye aimed towards box office receipts than furthering the mythology of the TERMINATOR universe. (Dear Studio Exec: Guess what -- You can actually have both!) The decision to cast Bale as John Conner is a solid move in the right direction. However if the film goes with a controversial ending rumored online a few months back we can expect a cinematic apocalypse as fanboys unleash their fury upon a cineplex near you. Yes its THAT bad.
But until all is revealed next May enjoy a glimpse at the shape of things to be

BTW -- On a side note, what's with all the hate towards THE SARAH CONNER CHRONICLES? I've come across forum comments of harsh and dismissive comments towards the series that are more worthy of a Jerry O'Connell shitcom. I've watched the show from the start and have found it to be a solid, intelligent effort to fill in the Conner backstory while also offering up some sharp twists and rousing action sequences.
