The busy comic scribe and one time Director of Blade:Trinity
has finished post on his latest joint credit venture The Unborn
as Writer/Director. Said flick concerns Casey (Cloverfields
Odette Yustman) as she fights a nasty little kid spirit that slowly starts to possess her.
I've got to say, I'm really not holding out much hope for this, i know it's early days but the kid in the mirror looks like Eddy Munster after falling over after tripping on his coat-tails and I'm all for sexy chicks being in their undies in a movie but where does this fit in? i get that they might be trying to make her look vulnerable but there are much better ways of showing this.
The trailer looks like a checklist for horror cliches!!
1. Overuse of Creepy Kid
2. Crap use of a Baby Monitor
3. Overuse of mirrors
4. Cute girl looking forlorn in a grave yard
5. Yada yada yada
Don't get me wrong, i quite like Goyer as a writer but I've yet to see anything that tells me he has the chops for the megaphone, it does however have Gary Oldman in it, so there is hope.
