David S. Goyer's The Unborn - International Poster and Trailer

The busy comic scribe and one time Director of Blade:Trinity has finished post on his latest joint credit venture The Unborn as Writer/Director. Said flick concerns Casey (Cloverfields Odette Yustman) as she fights a nasty little kid spirit that slowly starts to possess her.



I've got to say, I'm really not holding out much hope for this, i know it's early days but the kid in the mirror looks like Eddy Munster after falling over after tripping on his coat-tails and I'm all for sexy chicks being in their undies in a movie but where does this fit in? i get that they might be trying to make her look vulnerable but there are much better ways of showing this.



The trailer looks like a checklist for horror cliches!!
1. Overuse of Creepy Kid
2. Crap use of a Baby Monitor
3. Overuse of mirrors
4. Cute girl looking forlorn in a grave yard
5. Yada yada yada

Don't get me wrong, i quite like Goyer as a writer but I've yet to see anything that tells me he has the chops for the megaphone, it does however have Gary Oldman in it, so there is hope.

If you divide that poster into four horizontal sections, the third one is the best quarter of a movie poster ever.

Other than that, uninspired.
