Warner Brothers has unveiled the first 2 images from the latest in the FINAL DESTINATION franchise, now titled FINAL DESTINATION: DEATH TRIP 3D! The new sequel hits theaters on August 21st, 2009 and stars Nick Zano, Krista Allen (FEAST), Andy Fiscella, Shantel Van Santen, Bobby Campo, Haley Webb, Justin Welborn (THE SIGNAL), Mykelti Williamson & Richard T. Jones. David Ellis, the director of FINAL DESTINATION 2 returns behind the camera for FINAL DESTINATION 4. Eric Bress wrote the script. The first one is an under-rated classic, the second one over-rated and the third collapses under the logic of its own rules. Also no one seems to mention what a rip off of the Omen it all is. This is a series that has abandoned story and character completely in favour of spectacular deaths alone. It's a shame. I like the fact it's in 3-D though.

Yeah the first was good, the 2nd wasnt too bad, but the 3rd was crap, it had bad acting, bad plot. But you got to admit that the death scenes in all the films all fun to watch, the do get pretty creative with that.

The death scenes are fun, but what's spoiled the series is they have decided "the deaths are all people come for", and not bothered with the rest in parts 2 and 3. It may be true, but it's a shame.

Big Shame you are totally right, the first thing I thought when I heard about ZFinal Destination 3 and 4, was people being killed. You can see more of the focus on the killing than the acting and plot.

That scene in the first film when the plane blows up in the background was so chilling when I saw it opening weekend in the theater!

Yeah, naff ending aside I really like the first movie. Great ideas, executed brilliantly.
