As Dom was kind enough to report a few days back, some of the cast for TR0N 2/TRON 2.0/TR2N has started to fall into place with the names of the yummified Olivia Wilde and Beau Garrett (who previously co-starred in the tropical horror flick TURISTAS) in lead roles.  Its to be directed by Joseph Kosinski (whose only previously listed IMDB credit was being attached to direct the LOGAN'S RUN remake(?!)  Its script was written by Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, writers and producers on the T.V. show LOST.

Now comes news from a previously tested source over Ain't It Cool that the film will be shot entirely in 3-D.  What's even more interesting the fact that with the latest technology the creators will be able wear the glasses at the monitors as they shoot, allowing them to see instantly see the results.

Now I know TRON has developed a real cult following over the years but, truth be told, I remember seeing it as a kid and finding it to be dreadfully dull (or at least the first half of the film spent in the real world).  However after hearing this latest news I can honestly say that dull storytelling and leaden pacing are no longer a concern to me.  If anything's gonna keep me awake its gonna be the felinesque Wilde magically purring in my lap.  (BTW -- Just to confirm I was speaking of Olivia Wilde and not Oscar Wilde).

Don't laugh!  Back in the day these little bastards were harder to kill off than Herpes!

I'd prefer a sequel to anything instead of another f***ing remake!

That's not a piece, that's the whole story.
