John C. Reilly, Jonah Hill and Marisa Tomei are in talks with Fox Searchlight for roles in an untitled Mark and Jay Duplass comedy.

Variety reports the comedy will mark the Duplass brothers directing debut (which was titled “Safety Man”) based on their script. The film is produced by Scott Free and shooting is scheduled to start in January.

The film follows a divorced man who falls for his dream woman, but has to deal with her teenage son – who doesn’t want a new man in his mother’s life.

Reilly is set to return to the screen with two new films - Universal Pictures' "Cirque du Freak" and Focus Features' "9."

Hill is at work shooting Judd Apatow’s "Funny People" with Adam Sandler and Seth Rogen. Hill has also signed to write, produce and star in the Sony’s film version of the hit television series "21 Jump Street."

Tomei can be seen in the Mickey Rourke drama "The Wrestler."

They both seem pretty humourless.

Yeah, but I found True Romance kind of funny, and Tony Scott directed that, but I guess we owe the humor from that movie to Tarantino.

Oh yeah, to be fair there will be so many people involved with the project, who knows. And there is humour in Tony Scott films, for sure.

and the my favorite scene in Man On Fire is pretty funny to me, When Denzel says, "I wish you had more time." Watch the clip I am talking about, here is the video watch from the beginning to about to about 4:30, trust me its good!!!!!!

I'm only wary because when Ridley Scott tried directing a comedy (A Good Year) it was a disaster.

Man On Fire is a great movie, particularly the first half.

Man on Fire was really good, I was surprised. I like Denzel a lot when he plays bad or wounded characters.

Yeah Denzel is one of my favorite actors, I like his team ups with Tony Scott, Man on Fire and Deja Vu.
Did anyone else like Deja Vu?

I rally enjoyed this flick alot!

I am also looking forward to their next collaboration, The Taking of Pelham 123, it also stars John Travolta with John Turturro.
