Seems odd that Death would have time to do this given he still hasn't polished off Mickey Rooney, but he's set to star again in Final Destination 4.

A trilogy not being enough, New Line are trotting out more nubile teens to meet their maker. No details on plot have emerged (and probably won't even by the time you've finished watching the film) but it's understood that it'll be a stand alone movie with no direct connection to any of the previous outings.

And what else? Why, good golly - it's coming to us in glorious 3-D.

The Hollywood Reporter adds that David R Ellis (he of Snakes/Plane fame) will be returning to direct, with Eric Bress to write - both of whom were involved in part 2, which featured arguably the best ever log-through-the-face-while-driving.

Whether they'll manage to top Saw IV's 'Woman Killed By A Door' is yet to be confirmed.

Well I thought the last Final Destination was going to be the last one or according to the intro title.
Although, I'm not to sure on how they plan to bring this movie out since they really screwed over the 3rd one.

Yeah but the question I have is WHY THE HELL ARE THEY DOING ANOTHER ONE IF THEY KILLED IT OFF WITH MURDERING EVERYONE in
the third one. Oh what you going to bring T. Burke and Kimberly back to the fourth one?.. I mean are you going to bring Clear River's back to life as Death to kill them off for their own STUPIDITY!?. Really what the hell is left for this movie and are they going to have more beginner actors to ruin the series. The third one almost made me destroy my fandom for this series don't make me want to burn the movies I have right now because of bad decisions.

You're right, the series needs much more ongoing continuity with actors if they're going to keep making them. Especially as you can't have ongoing continuity with the villain - he's invisible. That's why there was a serious personality vacuum in the 2nd and 3rd one.

The problem is now with the basic concept of Final Destination. In FD3, with the rules they created, there's no way to end that story - it just keeps going round and round. I was thinking that while watching it and wasn't surprised in the least when it literally did just cut to black at the end - they didn't have an answer. There's no 'out' and the writers they're hiring aren't smart enough to invent one.

The only person you can have return, I believe, is Tony Todd? But his appearances have always been sheer 'wtf' cameo. Who is he meant to be - Death? An Angel? Whichever one you pick it doesn't make sense.

Ending aside, I think the first one is a brilliant film. The sense of dread they create on that flight is as good as any suspense work I've seen in a movie.

Yeah I agree I thought the first and second Final Destination were excellent and then they just cut Clear Rivers out of the picture. She could've lived if they did another Resident Evil part and put her body back together again. Then again that be a duplication of RE and super soldiers I guess. I really don't see anything left to go into since they ended the third one the way that they did.

Unfortunately, I brought it up because it's so teriffically anti-awesome. It's not even - ugh. It sucks. And when I'm reduced to scrambling for words to explain how bad something is, you know it... really... is bad. It's not even so-bad-it's-good. Damnit.

Someone mentioned the 'Saw' films?

I hope you feel good about yourself...you just made a grown man cry!  Cry

Actually, more like tears mixed with incredible anger and hatred, so if that was the effect you were aiming for, well done.
