Alright, sound off. Does this not look like the most boring, derivative, by the book, commercially lit, boring piece of crap? Maybe it's just the trailer, but it looks like they lost all the original's strengths and kept all of the weaknesses.

The weird and real sexual vibe from the first film seems non-existant (they cast a real porn star/producers and the weasley rapist) and they knew one of the best horror rules: the scariest things happen in the daylight (although, it's more of an exploitation thriller than a true horror).

The voice over at the beginning: "it's the last house on the left" made me WINCE.  This is everything I hate about modern horror. Don't turn a disturbing social commentary into a mediocre boob fest.

I hope this doesnt turn into a piece of crap, but knowing that Wes Craven is producing the movie gives it some hope, well at least in my book.

That's true. At comic con it was cool to hear him talk about his next project. Sometimes they cut trailers to be commercially broad but the film itself is much more unique.

For example, the movie "traitor" looked like a by the books political thriller, but I rented it and it's actually about muslim extremists and Don Cheadle is one of the head men!!!! Who would have THOUGHT that from the trailer? It was actually quite an intriguing flick.

This is just so, so Blah. And the trailer by the looks of it, has shown us that all the bad guys get killed! so no need to guess what happens then.

I'm so past caring about Craven anymore, what has he done recently that's actually been any good? and please don't say Cursed or I'll stab your eyeballs with a splintered pencil.

Cursed was such a classic teen horror movie, Wes Craven shgould have never had anything to do with that! I liked his story to The HIlls Have Eyes 2. But anybody who has seen the orginal knows what happens, so by showing that the bad guys die, is not too much a a suprise.
