The Birds remake, I am excited about that one. With todays technology, they can make the birds do some scary stuff. (with a high budget) Imagine being attacked by a flock of birds, that would be horrible!

Nightmare on Elm Street, I am curious to see what they do with this one.

Karate Kid, from everything Ive heard about this remake, I am going to have to give this a BIG HELL NO!!!

Alice in Wonderland, I love the original, but I excited to see what Burton has in store for us.

The Entity, I like the original, but I am excited to know that it is being remade, it can end up being a real disturbing film!

Escape From New York, I am not excited about this remake, The orginal is awesome, All the way fromthe actors to the director and the awesome 80s Carpetner movie scores. I am curious to see who will be casted in this film and if John Carpetner has anything to do with it?

Hellraiser, this remake kind of brings me to the remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street, because how can you get a different actor to pull off the role of Pinhead like Doug Bradley? The same as Kruger with Robert Englund?

I Dream of Jeannie, this could end up bad like the Bewitched remake. I am not for this one.

The Last House on the Left, I didnt know what to think of this film being remade until I saw the trailer for it. I am now super siked!

Let The Right One In, I think it is too soon to start production of a remake of this film!

The Lone Ranger, I am super siked for this movie because of the new cast of the remake, I have never seen the orginal, but I really dont like old westerns though, so a reamke will bring in a new crowd of intrested people like myself.

Monster Squad, I like the original, and am glad that there is a new one, I am curious to see what comes of it!

Mute Witness, the original was alright, this film could have major potential, so I am for this one!

My Bloody Valentine, I am super siked for this movie, the original is awesome, but a much 3D remake is needed!

Piranha, I love the original, a 3D remake is just what I am looking for!

Pet Sematary, I like the original, but could enjoy a remake!

Poltergeist, with this one I am for it and against it, I cant really decide what to go with?

Short Circuit, I like the original, but dont mind a remake

The Stepfather, I always liked the original, but am excited about the upcoming remake!

Swiss Family Robinson, I always liked this show when I was a kid and think that a remake could be a good thing, it would introduce this classic to a whole new generation!

The Wolfman, I am siked about this movie because i love werewolf films and this one looks so good!! Sad to say I havent seen the orginal, (I should get on that!)

Well those are my thoughts on some of the upcoming remakes, share your thoughts on these films I have mentiioned!

The Birds and Nightmare On Elm Street are the two I'm really looking forward to (until promotional material tells me otherwise). But the one I've really got my eye on is The Thing remake.

It's not clear yet. Last I heard it was a prequel, about the Norwegian camp (which will presumably be a largely English speaking camp now).

Well know in about ten hours if the My Bloody Valentine remake was all it should've been.  I even made sure that the theatre is showing it in 3D.

A group of friends of mine and I are going to the 3D theater this Sunday to check it out, tell me what you think Tyler after you see it!

And on The Thing subject, last I heard it was a prequel as well. Do you know if John Carpetner has anything to do with it?

Short Circuit?  That's a new one to me, heard about most of the others.  So will Benjamin be more PC in this one?  Oh dear...

I've been making this (rather obvious) prediction all week, but I really think My Bloody Valentine is going to be a BIG hit this weekend. There is just a real buzz about it on every site I visit. They marketed it like geniuses.

"3D train ride to hell"   Best tagline ever.

Poltergeist is a masterpiece that still chills and thrills. Amazing VFX (ok, a few are cheesy but most still hold up today, like the clouds) and fantastic script and casting. I no way should this be remade.

Birds ... I'm open to. I love Hitchcock, but it's his weakest script. Man against nature tends to fail in the thriller genre cause they just kind of run and run and that's it. Plus, the ending sucks. They just walk out!

Nightmare on Elm Street ... I don't know. I mean, the original (minus the Home Alone segment) is still VERY good by todays standards. Remake something with a good idea that didn't quite pull it off. Like *cough* Escape From New York *cough*

Yeah, My Bloody Valentine was everything I could've hoped for in a 3D slasher.  The 3D gags are excellent and timed perfectly, the gore is surprisingly abundant, and it's really obvious that the filmmakers cared a lot about their source material.  I definitely recommend it to any horror fan or anyone who was at least intrigued by the marketing.  Make sure you see it in 3D, otherwise a lot of the effects will be like the eyeball from Friday the 13th Pt 3.

The Birds i technically don't consider this a remake, more another adaptation of the short story. that said, the short story is nothing like hitchcock's film. they're probably gonna go for the hitchcock version and i have a 'you-don't-remake-hitchcock' policy, so screw this movie.

Nightmare on Elm Street i don't do horror movies.

Karate Kid why? why would you? seriously.

Alice in Wonderland, again, i don't consider this a remake at all. burton's looks cool.

The Entity, never heard of it.

Escape From New York, i think the original is ridiculously overrated. solid concept, lazy execution. potentially a spectacular remake. of everything on this is i think his is the best remake candidate. casting rumours so far have sucked though

Hellraiser, i don't do horror movies.

I Dream of Jeannie, didn't check out the bewitched remake,  and i don't intend to. the fact that this blatantly ripped off bewitched is a bad sign...but maybe they'll learn from the other's mistakes. i think i preferred this show.

The Last House on the Left, never heard of it.

Let The Right One In, i don't do horror movies.

The Lone Ranger, vague memories of the tv show, it depends on the kind of tone they go for whether i enjoy it or not i guess. who the hell are they gonna cast as the ranger with depp as a SIDEKICK though?!?!?!

Monster Squad, never heard of it

Mute Witness, never heard of it

My Bloody Valentine, i don't do horror movies.

Piranha, they cast two porn stars and kelly brook. bad sign. and wasn't the original a jaws rip-off...?

Pet Sematary...

Poltergeist, i don't do horror movies.

Short Circuit, i always though this movie was kind of crappy as a kid. i may have only seen the sequel though, i don't remember.

The Stepfather, never heard of it

Swiss Family Robinson, never saw it. doesn't sound very cinematic though.

The Wolfman, despite my no horror movie situation, this looks pretty decent.
