The MistKing fans have been waiting over 25 years for this. It’s surely his most memorable novella. Oh, and the film's got a different ending. Which King says is better than his original. …Well, he would, because the novella didn’t have an ending, it just stopped.
Critics Say: There’s always a snobbiness with horror - The more important the critic, the less they like it. When was the last time a horror won an academy award? Even Silence Of The Lambs had to call itself a ‘thriller’. And so it is here, the more ‘important’ the critic, the less they like The Mist. Thankfully that still leaves the majority who say it’s refreshingly bleak and unhollywood in its sentiments. And freakin’ scary.

And this is a video game movie. Poor bugger was once the original choice for Wolverine, but couldn’t do it because he was committed to Mission Impossible 2.
Hitman probably shouldn’t have been put out at the same time as other ‘geek’ favourite The Mist. Will likely suffer at the box office as a result.
Critics Say: All agree, add an ‘S’ to the start of the title and swap the ‘m’ for a ‘p’. Incoherent plotting and some of the worst dialogue of the year in the same old assassin-double-crossed-and-on-the-run storyline.
