I hope he wins too, he was hilarious in Tropic Thunder and really just made such an incredible comeback, he deserves it completely.
The other nominees are Josh Brolin, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Heath Ledger and Michael Shannon.

The deal is pretty much sealed on Ledger winning.  But I absolutely thrilled that Downey is back on the Hollywood map in a big way.  I've always thought he was a terrific actor, not to much a cool-ass dude,  but was always waiting for the other shoe to drop . . . Between his and Mickey Rourke's comeback I couldn't be more thrilled.

Yeah the Joker problay has this one locked! Thats sad for Downey Jr. though, he was the bomb in that film. But when you compare his role in Tropic Thunder to Ledger's role in The Dark Knight, you got to admit that Ledger went all out with his performance!
