im talking seriously. i know i may be 17 yrs old but ive written some pretty great stuff and had a great concept for an idea. i recently read comments regarding fans anger towards Platinum Dunes' remakes and so called "re-imagining" of such great horror classics that brought us to the edge of our seats! (Literally!) why do such fans ridicule the hard work and effort that this company put so much time into? many fans have recently blogged about "A Nightmare on Elm Street" remake calling it "wrong" and "a waste of time." Producer Brad Fuller struck back by saying "if you haven't read the script why ridicule us?"

aside from that, i'm talking straight forward with this project of mine. i feel that with this project, i can bring back a feeling everyone misses..the feeling of being scared. im more than sure that everyone wants that feeling back. the feeling you used to get when these films scared the hell out of you when you where a kid. i may not have fancy cameras or professional lighting or an all-star cast lined up but what i do have is my imagination for a new kind of killer..something that can put horror back on track.

thank you for your time and for more information about my project you can reach me on Twitter or shoot me a quick E-mail!(as listed below)

Sincerely,

Eric Villarreal

Eric,

You should find a way to condense your idea into a short. Focus on the main idea and maybe write out one good kill scene and film that. You can scrounge the resources for a weekend of filming. If you are completely broke you can maybe enroll in a community college or find someone who is who wants to help produce. Then you can use school equipment, etc. Make that and it will help you flesh out your idea as well as learn more of the filming process. You'll also have a finished short to show people that totally pitches itself instead of having to describe it every time.
