Not enough pins. It's Pinhead, not Nailhead.

I do mean it seriously though, there were hundreds of long pins in the original, hence the name. Here it's occasional big nails, which is like calling someone Crocodile Man when they're a shark.

Ha. It looks cool ... but they're changing the one thing about that series taht was done perfectly. It was the silly plots and acting that made them shlock. I'd rather see them recast the same actor (make up hides age) and spruce up his surroundings.

Sheridan said it perfectly about the pins, but is it just me or does the new look seem to take away from pinheads cold and merciless personality? The blood, gashes and cut up robe thing really take away from what I liked so much about the original. For some reason that new picture makes me think of pinhead with a more Freddy like disposition.

I dont know what it is about that new look, but it kind of makes him look stupid, but I mean like stupid, uneducated stupid. There is something about his oringinal look that makes him seem sophisticated. Maybe its the knowledge he posseses, or the way he talks proper, or it could just be how neat the nails are placed into his head so perfectley? The new look has nails all over the place, he kind of looks like this ghost off the 13 Ghosts movie. But overall I disaprove of the new look as of for right now.

That's a good point Mr Ross, the original does give off a different air. And feels more 'unique'.

Agreed. He's much scarier as this eternal, wise creature who deliberately chooses to sexually torture everyone he meets, including himself. Rather than LEatherface Redux

The new Pinhead design is by the same FX guy who worked on the Hellraiser sequels, Gary Tunnicliffe. Barker has seen the new design and here's what he had to say
Barker: "The whole point about Pinhead is that he is geometrically severe. Very measured and the energy of the character comes out of the fact that you have surgical precision which is part of a much larger, sadistic, maybe masochistic, design. By turning the bloodless cuts or scarifications into bloody, irregular gashes removes the point of what made the character interesting in the first place."
Sounds like he's not best pleased and if the bloke who created him aint happy, here's hoping Tunnicliffe goes back to his drawing board and uses Barkers original design.

You're welcome T.Ross, i don't mind remakes, what really irks me is when the people remaking them don't have the foggiest idea what made the original good in the first place.
