Kids books have got to be the hardest thing to write ever. The younger, the harder.

Wellll I'm not sure about that. I'd rather write a children's book than a PhD.

its quite difficult tryin to remember that its for children, i keep writing as if im writing for myself and not for anyone younger. I can only imagine what writing a phd is like, must be hard going.

Almost finished the book, been workin on it all weekend. The end is in sight but i just dont know how to end it properly

I don't know much about writing books for kids, but I think it should close with a shootout at an orgy.

Hey Everyone,

Eric Villarreal. born and raised in deep south texas. just graduated high school last may. really looking to get into the film industry oneday. been writing several short stories for quite some time now, actually writing a full-length film right now. this will sound kinda nerd-ish but participated in a film competiton my senior year and actually won 1st place at state competiton all thanks to my ass chewing art teacher.

never been stabbed. never stabbed anyone. the most i've done is break my arm?! have quite a collections of DVD's mostly horror. spend most of my days either writing or watching some new indie horror film. just recently saw "Methodic" on Netflix by Chris R. Notarile. I have a few favorite directors such as Wes Craven, John Carpenter, Eli Roth, Tarintino, Clint Eastwood, and many more.

Be sure to check out my recent post soon i'll be posting pieces of my scripts for you all to read and give me your honest feedback. by the way welcome all new members. i'm sort of new but been around for almost 2 years.

Well good evening!

Adam Dukes here (Jewks when I get bored)!

I'm in uni at North Greenwich at the moment gearing up for dissertation and portfolio projects. It's a ballache but hopefully my work'll be good enough to get me a job.

LOVE LOVE LOVE zombie movies but one in particular has really pissed me off. I loathe The Zombie Diaries. The cover promised me an unseemly amount of London based zombieness and all I got was drunk extras in the woods. For shame.

Anyway! I look forward to getting to know you guys and i'll hopefully be posting my videos on here to see what you all think of them Cheesy

Hi, I'm Tom Winward.

I graduated from the University of Kent this July with a degree in Law and Criminology. If there's one thing that taught me, it's that I don't want to work in Law. I'm starting a job at an online marketing company in January, writing and producing corporate films.

I love writing about films almost as much as I love watching them. I write articles for Screen Watch and We Love Movies [More Than You].

My favourite food is baked potato. Mmmm.

Evening all!

Stuart Richardson, newbie, reporting in.

I just finished a Master's degree in script writing, and before that worked as a video games journalist. Still do the odd review for The Observer. No idea what the next step will be yet, but very happy to be writing for this most excellent site while I figure that out. Have a few script ideas I may try getting down while I search for a job.

Here's a fun story by way of an ice breaker: I once sold a Tesco plastic bag on ebay for £3.78. It was back in 2004/05 and people were still enjoying the online auction thing WAY too much. I doubt this could be repeated now but it may be worth a go. Who knows, perhaps there is a viable business model in auctioning silly things?

Anyway glad to be here!

Oh and, my three favourite films of all time, in no particular order: Blade Runner, Alien, The Truman Show.

Yes, Prometheus broke my heart.

Man, writing video game reviews for the Observer is a good gig. Next year's going to be the most exciting for games for a long time - two next gen consoles, finally, and the Steam Box.

I read some stat recently that the vast majority of users nowadays are using eBay just like Amazon, they 'buy it now' for a fixed price rather than do auctions. So fixed price on a Tesco bag is the way to go.

The other day I found myself in Homebase and the young woman at the checkout was quite taken that I had a green Tesco bag. "I didn't know they did green ones" she said. "You have to be a special person to get one," I replied with a wink. Like I was Father Christmas talking to a child. I felt like an idiot afterwards.
