That is true, those endings are a bit of a cop out, although i thought it suited The Birds. For me i just love the way that there is no explanation as to why they do it, no government experiments or toxic waste etc etc they just are.

And me too, i can't think of another Director who's had such an impact on me as Hitchcock, I'm a big fan of Saboteur and Dial M For Murder.

Rear Window I think is his best. M for Murder, Vertigo, Suspicion, Strangers on a Train, North by Northwest ... all utterly great.

Torn Curtain and Marnie ... not so much.

I have to say, Rear Window is the bomb! These are in no order..

The House of the Devil blu-ray.

This movie is amazing! I watch it all the time! This film should go down as a classic!

Donnie Darko The Director's cut.

I love this film. Brilliant story, director, cast and music! The director's cut is a must have to any Donnie Darko fan!

Let The Right One In re-issue copy.

This along with The House of the Devil is one of the best horror movies of the decade. The first dvd of this movie was re-released beacause the first release had changed subtitles (dumbed down for Twilight fans). There was a huge outrage and a few months later they re-released the movie with the correct subtitles. I joined the outrage when the first release came out. It seemed like I waited a long time for it to arrive on dvd after its short theatrical release. I was lucky and saw it at my local indie movie theater The Moxie when it first came out. I instantly fell in love with its beautiful cinematography, story, dark humor and characters. I strongly cherish my correct subtitled dvd copy of Let The Right One In. If you ever choose to own this movie then buy carefully. The back of the correct dvd copy of this movie will say; Subtitles (theatrical). make sure you purchase the theatrical subtitled version of the movie and go into the menu and switch it to the right subtitles.

That was the best of the series.
It sounds perverse, but I actually want to see Police Academy rebooted.

I dont know, it would have to be a good cast and not cheesy corny actors. maybe if Apatow produced.

They could get a whole bunch of undiscovered comedians working the stand up circuit and throw them together doing what they do best. That's pretty much what happened first time round.

As much as a loathe reboots and the like on principal, I agree, this would be a GREAT project to reboot.
