Latino Review is at ShoWest and they have scooped first looks at posters for some big upcoming projects. Most excitingly they have glimpsed the first poster for Guy Ritchie's take on the Sherlock Holmes mythology starring Robert Downey Jr.
In a dynamic new portrayal of Conan Doyle’s famous characters, “Sherlock Holmes” sends Holmes and his stalwart partner Watson on their latest challenge. Revealing fighting skills as lethal as his legendary intellect, Holmes will battle as never before to bring down a new nemesis and unravel a deadly plot that could destroy the country.

Downey Jr. looks remarkably dapper as the Victorian detective. I like the fact that his look is far-removed from the traditional look of Holmes, I feel that it will make it easier to ignore the film if it turns out to be a terrible mangling of the character. What do you guys think about the absence of the famous deer-stalker?
