New Pics from Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen

The Powers that Be have released new pictures from Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen, and it looks like, contrary to rumor, there will be giant robots in the film.

First, let's start with a very exciting roster. It's good for roll call:



Fanboys got them memorized? Good. Now here are some sneak peaks of the bad guy line-up:

Decepticon - The Doctor

If he says "turn your head and cough" - DON'T DO IT.

Decepticon - Ravage

Half cat, half robot, all pussy.

Decepticon - Ravage

Optimus Prime is running the can opener.

Decepticon - Starscream

I'm really excited about Terminator Salvation ... oh.

Personally, I rather like the cat design on Ravage, though I wonder what the point is since they whole "car" theme came because they wanted to disguise themselves on Earth. I'm not sure how a giant robotic cat is a disguise, unless he never leaves the compound of a Japanese billionaire. Or is that his normal robot look and he disguises himself as a food dish?

Also, there are two Autobots named "Skids" and "Mudflap"? Growing up those were euphemisms for two things that do NOT strike fear into the hearts of giant evil robots.

This movie is going to make major mula! I am so hyped for this film, I think it will be better than the first, I will be at the theater opening night!

What is so wrong with Transformers??? Why do so many people hate it? I mean actually I thought so many people loved it when it came out, i never heard bad things about the film. I guesss the only people I hear talk bad about it are people who dont like Michael Bay. It is not that bad of a film at all. The special effects are amazing!

It was okay.... its the kind of movie you walk out of the theater going wow, then later don't care about....

I enjoyed it, but I kinda had my fill. Been there, done that. This looks SO similar and they haven't presented any story whatsoever so far. They could get away with having a weak story in the first one, but the spectacle is old hat now so they have to deliver on the script this time. There's no sign of that.

They made a movie about giant fighting robots that come to earth and spend 20 minutes of a two hour movie stumbling around a virgin's backyard.

All the black people were annoying and stereotypical.

The main plot device involved a pair of old man's glasses.

The autobots decide to keep the humans safe by taking the deadliest robot known to man into one of America's most populated cities.

Apparently the magic device only makes decepticons, cause every new Transformer was evil.

Megatron shouts his name for no reason.

You could never see the special effects because they were never clearly on camera for more than a micro second.

John Turturo.

Shia and Megan do it on top of Bumblebee's face.

They turned a car into an offensive black sterotype and called it "Jazz"

The eyeglass map leads them to Megatron's location, even though the map was made when he was in the artic and he was later moved to the desert.



Other than that ... I actually had fun in the theater. But it wasn't a good movie. At all.
