So has anyone got this yet? I had the first one and enjoyed it, even if it was quite limited to what you could do but this one, where you have to take over businesses but also keep them protected by deciding how many of your men to leave to protect it has got me quite excited.

I like that is a mix of GTA style but with building businesses and taking over land.

I'm wondering the same thing. I love this style of game but I'm going to check out a few reviews and wait til it comes down in price a bit. Saints Row 2 was surprisingly brilliant.

Me too, cant be paying £40 for it, I'm about 50% through GTA IV and was going to get Saints Row 2 as its supposed to be better than the 1st one and its only £17!

Saints Row 2 looks dodgy at first, but give it a couple of hours and you'll realise it's actually a better game than GTA4 (which is beautifully detailed but has numerous crippling gameplay issues).

Cool, once o finish GTA IV I'll pick it up as i love these kind of games. I am getting a bit frustrated with GTA IV though as the islands are pretty big but the amount of buildings you can actually enter is really low, and is it me or can't you interact with the people on the street? I know you can shoot them but i wanted to (in the spirit of the game you understand) take up a hooker on her offer but couldnt work out how to speak to her or proposition her?!?!
I'd also heard that you could make businesses for yourself but I havent found out how yet

I think with the ladies of the night you just pull up in a car, they get in, you drive somewhere quiet (an alleyway or a park), stop the car, then your options appear. Make sure you kill them afterwards to get your money back.

The first one was ok, bit repetitive.

I haven't played this one yet.

Finally boght this a couple of weeks ago now that it has come down in price and what a joy! Its much better than the first game. There is a good story to follow but you can leave those to deal with when you want andjust go about extorting and doing contract hits etc. Its a nice touch that you have various businesses to make yours but that there are also crime rings, so if you own say all the casinos then you get bonuses like armoured cars or bullet proff vest.

Not perfect but a decent 7/10

I'm still debating buying it.

Will probably still be mulling it over when Godfather 3 comes out.
