A short but sweet behind-the-scenes look at Inglourious Basterds has surfaced on the interwebs.

The footage originally debuted on American Idol...that's Comic-Con levels of movies being where they shouldn't, but who can complain when what we get to see is this tantalising! This looks quite unlike any other war movie, in fact it most closely resembles last summer's Tropic Thunder, without the comedic set-up of course. And look at Mike Myers! All made up like a missing cast member from Dad's Army. Dad's Army? Anyone? Okay. Only Tarantino would have the guts to cast somebody with such poor taste in projects (Love Guru, etc).

What do you think of how the Basterds are shaping up? It's freaking me out seeing Benjamin Button talk about killing Nazis.

Mike Myers looks like a character out of Austin Powers, how disappointing.

Mmm i do like Tarrantinos work but Myers is woefully miscast as is Roth and you're right there dnwilliams, Pitt sounds like he's kept his Button accent for this which is just plain strange. I had big hopes for this but they're starting to eek away a little.

No Myers and Roth are brilliant cast members for this film, do you really think that Tarantino miscasts? I think he pickes his cast wisely with much thought!
