No it's much cleverer than it first appears. As the number of enemies goes up and the weapons they're carrying get harder, you do really have to think how you'll approach it. I really like the combat system.

Ive had this a couple of weeks now and it is amazing, not just as a Batman game but as a game full stop. The fighting is intuitive and gives you a great sense of achievement when you pull off a takedown. There's also a lot more to this game than just run around fighting, the detective elements from the comics are in there as is the stealth and the Scarecrow interludes are a fun and interesting way to bring in Bruce Waynes history.

I'm fairly near the end as I'm trying to defeat the 'Bane'd'-up Joker and hi cronies but not having much luck at he mo  Grin
