Yeah, if they were going to bring people back I'd rather see an adult version of Short Round rather than a bloated Karen Allen.

A guy that I was in a USC summer class with, Gregg Bishop, went back there full-time afterwards and he was in a class with Quan. He produced this short that Gregg directed, Voodoo, and it got him all kinds of attention. I don't know if they went on to work together afterwards, but Gregg went onto success with a couple of low budget genre films.

And yes, I'd have rather seen Short Round all growds up than bring back Karen Allen. But her presence could have been good if the goddamned writing wasn't so cheesy. They could have set it somewhere in southeast asia or something, where he's working as a government agent and double-crosses Indy, then has a change of heart later or something. I'm sure any of us could come up with one hundred more interesting scenarios than what they actually wound up with.
