It has recently been announced that Martin Scorsese will be helming a biopic based on the life of legendary crooner Frank Sinatra. Sinatra, as the film is to be called, as of yet has no star attached, but usual suspect Leonardo DiCaprio is said to be being considered for the role, as is Sweeny Todd's Johnny Depp.
Scorsese and DiCaprio have filmed one biopic together already in their marathon run of collaborations, but Depp and Scorsese are yet to work together on a project. Scorsese is backing his adopted son Leo for the role, whilst Universal want some of the Johnny D mojo; neither actor has the Jamie Foxx/Joaquin Phoenix challenge of singing the songs themselves as it has already been decided that Sinatra's original recordings will be used in the film.
Who do you think is best suited to the role? DiCaprio seems more like a natural fit for the project, but Depp's made it his business to surprise everyone all the time...
