'Angels' Prays For Box Office Gold

Critically panned Tom Hanks exposition vehicle Angels and Demons opened, predictably, in first place, with an estimated weekend haul of $48 million. Worldwide, the film performed considerably better, making $104 million, bringing the gross up to a total of $152 million, which is much better.

Elsewhere in the rankings, much-loved JJ Abrams reboot Star Trek got knocked into second place with $43 million. Wolverine still has its claws in third place with $14 million.

To be honest, this movie was a disappointment. THey took out the best intense fighting scene from the book. This was better than the Da Vinci code, but it was still a let down

from not reading the book, I htought the movie was good.. I never saw the Da Vinci Code though.... Some people I went with previously read the book, and were somewhat let down but still liked it. But when ever is the movie as good as the book???

High fidelity is the first one that comes to mind, but most movies arent as good as the book. Watchmen was pretty close to the original story i thought
