(trying to calm) "Statistically, you're more likely to be struck by lightning than mauled by a bear."
"What's that on your arm?"
"Lightning scars."

Absolutely brilliant. I'm not joking, I read this line and the movie finally seemed real to me. This is exactly the kind of tone it should be. Just a dash of self-referential but the jokes are totally straight faced. Awesome stuff.

that is great. maybe the 'what's that on your arm' should be asked by the same person that relates the statistic.

PARKER MCRANGER
So...you're telling me a super-intelligent bear is on a murderous rampage in my forest, and he just ate your friend's brain after cutting his head off with a chainsaw. Are you high, missy?

MISSY
No! I don't do drugs! Drugs are for kids.

PARKER MCRANGER
Of course. Did you happen to see the make of the chainsaw?

MISSY
What?

PARKER MCRANGER
The manufacturer of the chainsaw - did you make a note of it?

MISSY
I don't see how that's--

PARKER MCRANGER
I like to investigate thoroughly, missy. I like to thoroughly investigate.

found more of the sequence, it's from 'girls' by the luna brothers. in context it's even better.

i think it's fairly obvious someone has to kick grizzlepaw in the nuts in homage to this scene, but what do they say?

What the hell is theis comic? It's awesome! I love that they make it look like a camera lens and things in the foreground are out of focus.
