Is This Our First Look at a Mech from Cameron's Avatar?

By now, everyone knows that I'm incredibly excited for James Cameron's Avatar, and I don't think I'm the only one out there who is anymore. So when our friends over at MarketSaw sent over this exclusive spy photo of a Mech unit from Avatar, I couldn't help but get a bit giddy looking at it. But they've posted some inaccurate stories recently and have been sent fake content that ends up being disproved fairly quickly. So I'm cautiously optimistic this time, because this thing looks pretty damn cool, and I really want it to be real. It's just enough of a tease not to spoil anything, but make us all a bit more excited. Check it out below!

So what exactly is this? Brendon claims it's a "Powersuit" much like the one Cameron had Ripley get in to fight the queen in Aliens. "Apparently, these 14-feet tall Powersuits are worn by human troopers on the surface of alien planet Pandora. One sequence is going to show a group of Powersuited troopers, led by Matt Gerald's Corporal Lyle Wayne fleet, laying waste to a Na'vi village." Not surprisingly, I'm reminded of Matrix Revolutions, but instead this is coming from James Cameron's brilliant mind and set in a different futuristic 3D world. Who knows if this is indeed a real photo of something from Avatar, but we're hoping it is!

The more I see of this, and the more I pick up on who the cast is, the more similar this is to Aliens. No bad thing, I guess.

Isnt Sam Worhtington starring in this flick??? I really enjoyed his performance in Terminator! Yeah I have been thinking the same thing as Sheridan, the more I learn about this film, the more it reminds me of Aliens....but could never be as good.....what does everyone else think about that subject?

I've deliberately kept myself in the dark about this movie so that I can come in fresh. I'm really excited.

Elemets seem to mirror Aliens, sure, but the vibe sure seems less gritty.

The vibe seeming like Aliens...doesnt turn me off one bit..I am so excited to see this film come out. It is dated to be released right before Christmas....feel sorry for whoever is going to compete with this one..

It is a real shame (and drawback of editing a movie site) that by the time it comes out I'll know almost everything about it. Wish I could go into this with no clue.
