Steven Seagal will not be Expendable

Imagine a movie with Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone and Dolph Lundgren, now imagine it 15 years ago when they weren´t all wrinkly, dried up prunes, pretty cool huh. Well it didn´t happen then but it sure as heck is happening now in Stallone´s up coming action extravaganza The Expendables (really hit the nail on the head with that title). Other cast members of this dream team include Jason Statham, Jet Li and Mickey Rourke. Inevitably though, with this union of the most testosterone-fuelled meatheads ever to hit the big screen, a few big names have been ruled out. Jean Claude Van-Damme has apparently refused to join the party because of concerns that he won´t get the screen time he deserves, Wesley Snipes is not available as he is still serving time for failing to file tax returns and most notably of all, Steven Seagal will not be making an appearance.

Apparently Seagal´s absence is down to reported beef between him and the film´s producer Avi Lerner. Ok, so most of you will be thinking, it´s got Stallone, it´s got Schwarzenegger, will Seagal really be missed? and although I admit Stallone and Schwarzegger are probably more versatile actors (a claim that can only usually be made when they are compared with chimpanzees) I think he will be missed. The thing I like about Seagal is that he mixes environmental concerns in with the relentless neck breaking to create his own unique action-packed cocktail. Let’s face it, he’s no Marlon Brando but the guy’s got charisma, less so in his older and chubbier, straight to video years though. Also, trust it from a man who’s seen him perform live, Seagal knows how to play the blues!

It's basically an ego problem, like with Van Damme. Ok, maybe the producer will make money, but your profile will be raised by being in a proper movie for once. It goes both ways. He's an idiot.

I wish Segal was in the flick...this could be a good flick for him...I mean his films have been sucking since like 95 or 96.
