Literally nothing is known about the 23rd installment of the Bond franchise, we don't know who the writers are or have any idea what the title could be, although we do know is that its happening and that Daniel Craig is returning.

But after a bit of snooping its been found that an official of the British Foreign Office in Afghanistan's drug busting team has been acting as a consultant for Eon, although no one is confirming anything, so rumour-mill time i reckon.

Well it seems logical, although they might just be researching the opening sequence, or the script could get rewritten for the hundredth time, as is always the way. After Quantum, is anyone bothered? Casino Royale felt like it was building to a great ongoing story, but Quantum took all the air out of that balloon.

I enjoyed Quantum, although i agree it was like having a tasty Burger followed by a watered down cola.

yeah, i thought quantum of solace was fine. it suffered because it ripped of bourne even harder than casino royale, and casino royal was disproportionately praised, but it was a cool movie.

Yeah I liked Quantum too, but I agree with the rest of you that it wasnt as good as Casino Royal. I think that I posted or I read a post on here that Daniel Craig said, "No fucking way to a Bond trilogy" Does anyone know what I am talking about???

I think what he meant was a trilogy which followed the same story arc, he wants to move onto fresh territory now Quantum the organisation is set up. Frankly I don't know why he's so anti that storyline continuing, the idea of an arc over several films was the biggest plus of the new films, Quantum Of Solace was already too much of a detour for no reason - after all the build up, where the hell was the revenge?

They've just signed on the writers of The Queen and Frost/Nixon for this. Intersting choice.

Quantum of Solace was poorly shot and utterly void of character development. It couldn't decide if it was new Bond or old, campy Bond and fell right in the middle. At the point where the woman survives an assassin, then drives quickly to the person who she thinks ordered that assassin and confronts him alone and unarmed ... that's when I knew the screenwriters were phoning it in. They tried to connect it to the first one, but failed. They try to have a standalone adventure that leads to him confronting the true bad guy of the first film, but that fails too. That last scene has literally nothing to do with the plot or character arc of Bond. Complete and total waste of film, because it wasn't even that good of an action movie.

I hope bringing in screenwriters who really get character development will bring this franchise back to the high level we saw in Royale.
