Friday night saw huge successes at the box office for both The Hangover and Pixar Presents a Pixar Film by Pixar: Pixar's Up, which took first and second respectively with $10 million and $9 million.

Third place went to new Tony Scott/ Denzel Washington collaboration The Taking of Pelham 123, with $8 million. Probably because its title sounds less like a fast-paced action thriller and more like a can of de-icer being pinched from a corner shop.

Still hanging on in fourth place was Night at the Museum: Judgement Day with $3 million, while fifth place went to Land of the Lost with $2.9 million.

Sixth place for Eddie Murphy's new flick, Imagine That in which Murphy tries to make audiences forget when he was good. Hurry up with Beverly Hills Cop IV, will ya? The film grossed a paltry $2 million.
