Transformers is a film about good robots, bad robots, explosions and hot chicks. For some reason that I don't really care for bad robots are trying to do bad things. The good robots are trying to stop the bad robots. From there Michael Bay tossed in some explosions, MTV music video action sequences, horrible comedic dialogue and Megan Fox.

I could picture Michael Bay on set. "OK, Megan. Lick your lips!... Perfect! Now, Que the explosion!".

The comedic Dialogue in the beginning is so unbearable. It's beyond ridiculous. I wanted to punch the screen and kick Shia's mom down the fucking stairs. Your typical kid going away to college so mom has to act like a asshole behavior. Times 10. Because it's Michael Bay and everything he does is bigger. He is the Texas of annoying.

The action in the movie is awesome. I won't say top notch because its not. I think the audience is so distracted by the blazes of fire and fast camera cuts that the transformers could actually be doing the souljah boy and we would never know.

Speaking of bad, I wanted to make it a point to address the stereotypes in this film. I'm tired of reading about "black" stereotypes. All I hear is "They talk like morons!" and "They can't read!", "One has a gold tooth" blah blah blah. Shut the fuck up! I hate that I have to hear the producers of the film always denying this.

You can turn on BET and see this shit all day! Thats why it's funny! Because there are real people that do what they do. I don't hear anyone bitch about Shia being a white stereotype. You know, having a job, going to college, holding a steady unbaby having girlfriend. Where is Hilary Clinton marching the streets next to Al Sharpton?!

Oh yea, Shia's mom gets high on weed brownies, a Decepticon humps Megan Fox's leg, etc. is just a small indication of how cool this movie is.

I guess what I'm trying to say is overall this is a good popcorn flick. The action is great, The comedy sucks giant robotic cock. I'll give this movie a 8.5 out of 10.

i take umbrage with calling bay 'the texas of annoying', even if that is an awesome way of expressing how you feel. awesome enough that bay himself might approve.

that was the exact same ending as the first movie...wtf?

in between there was confusion over racial stereotypes, a man's ass in a thong and robot testicles. overall i enjoyed, and will probably own it.

The io9 review is pure genius:

- ROTF is like twenty summer movies, with unrelated storylines, smushed together into one crazy whole.
- Michael Bay has boasted about how every single shot in the movie has so much stuff going on in it, it would take your PC since the dawn of time to render one frame.
- And every single performance is so ridiculous that it looks down on "over the top" as if from a great height.
- So, to sum up: Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen is one of the greatest achievements in the history of cinema, if not the greatest. You could easily argue that cinema, as an artform, has all been leading up to this.

To be honest I won't watch it until dvd now, the reviews are too bad. I wanted a good Transformers story but reports say it's a mess that revolves around Megan Fox and No No No going on an Indiana Jones adventure - not interested.

Not a surprize, but still disheartening for the state of this world, tf2 made back it's 200 million dollar budget PLUS over 180 million in profit in one week.
