Hello folks!
Warner Bros. Pictures have released the very first publicity images for the much-anticipated live-action update of 1960s Japanese anime "Mach GoGoGo" a.k.a
Speed Racer in the States. USA Today were the first to publish the images online and you can clearly see that the "look" of the film is different and dare I say, exciting.
The first look of the "Mach 5", the machine that Emile Hir-s-ch-uh will be driving. Nice.
An example of the new "look" that the Wachowskis are going for described as "Car-Fu" as in Kung Fu but with cars... not to be confused with Corfu, an attractive holiday destination for the over 50s... Nice.
Now, combine the live-action actors and computer enhanced scenery and this is what you get... *cough*Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow*cough*
And then they give us what has to be an extremely bizarre press-release photo of a gimped-out Matthew Fox playing a Ultimate Fighter version of "Rock-Paper-Scissors" with Rufio (Hook, 1991 ref.) while Emile Hir-s-ch-uh'ses massive biff looks on. Fox wins.
