Plans to bring 80’s cop show
T.J. Hooker to the big screen have recently been announced with director Chuck Russell (of
The Mask and
The Scorpion King fame) in line to take the helm. The show starred William Shatner as the no nonsense T.J. Hooker, a 15 year veteran police sergeant. Supporting cast included Richard Herd, Adrian Zmed and Heather Locklear. The script for the film will focus on the relationship between the title character and his father and will be written by Brent Maddock and S.S. Wilson.
I’m not really familiar with the series, probably a bit too young or a bit too English, but if it starred Captain Kirk then it must have been good. In case you needed it, here’s a reminder of just how cool old Bill Shatner is...
Possibly the most cringe inducing performance in history.
