New trailer for 'Mystery Team'

Here's a new trailer for Mystery Team. If you don't know about it already, its a comedy brought to screen by youtube favourites Derrick Comedy. Originating from New York City the 5 person team consists of Dominic Dierkes ,Donald Glover, DC Pierson, Dan Eckman and Meggie McFadden. Together they are responsible for some of the most popular comedy sketches on youtube. This is their first big screen effort and all signs are that it is going to be a successful debut.

Not only is it looking like it could be one of the funniest films of the year, its also looking like it could be, dare I say, the new Napoleon Dynamite. Before you bite my head off for this ridiculous comparison let me explain. Like Napoleon Dynamite, Mystery Team has been helped in its distribution by raising a positive buzz following its screening at Sundance and has the potential to achieve the same sort of cultish following. More to the point, both films share an obvious love for American Geekiness and the zany characters that occupy the fringes of society and reality. Basically the kind of people that shows like The OC and One Tree Hill tend to sweep under the rug.
