According to an official press release, George Romero's sixth entry into his 'Dead' series is called 'Survival of the Dead'. Apparently excitable geeks worldwide had pinned their bets on it being called 'Island of the Dead', and this was perfectly reasonable - the story is about a group of military types occupying an island which apparently is the one place in the world not occupied by zombies. Given this is a Romero film, it will probably be highly topical and will probably involve the island going to hell over the course of the film, so not much deviation from the template but it has always worked for the guy in the past.

The one worry of course is that 'Survival' sounds a little too much like 'Land', but nobody really makes the zombie movie like ol' George. So let's keep our decomposing fingers crossed.

I want to see his house, I know he lives around in Pittsburgh somewhere.  Plus I know someone that house sat for him and guess it is a pretty sweet place

Wait, whose house? Romero's house? You can't get in, it's besieged by zombies.

I thought this was called "... of the Dead" or was that the placeholder title?

Placeholder. Everyone assumed it would be 'Island' since it's set on an island. Frankly it would have made more sense. If you're an average joe, what the hell does 'Survival Of The Dead' even mean?

Survival of the Dead ... does this take place in the original universe or his diary of the dead universe? Is he going back to making the zombies sort-of protagonists like he did in Day and Land? Maybe they're finally decomposing and they're fighting to eat the last hold out of edible humans?  Weird.

I really hope it's not a "what it's like to be a zombie" movie but instead is a "holy shit look what those dangerous zombies can now do and isn't this a cool setting" movie.
