Comic-Con is upon us. The time of the year when tens of thousands of devout nerds descend upon San Diego and relay news of the geekiest kind to us unfortunate internet folk. Interviews, grainy photos, trailer descriptions, bootleg footage - it's like nirvana. Behold, the poster for Jonah Hex:

It focuses a little heavily on Megan Fox, it's a strange choice to only show the scarred side of Hex's face, and the blue hue coupled with the futuristic typography are decidedly un-western-like...but maybe that's the point. Westerns aren't exactly as popular as they should be. It's unlikely they'll be able to hide the genre so well in the eventual trailer though, and they shouldn't want to. Jonah Hex is a DC comics character, one of the few popular characters not to wear a cape, and has been one of the most popular Western comics ever.
The film, starring Josh Brolin, Megan Fox and John Malkovich comes to us from Jimmy Hayward, director of Horton Hears A Who. You read correctly.
