In the wake of the eyeball-tearingly bad Resident Evil Extinction, let's take a look at some other great games that could make it to the big screen!
Metal Gear Solid Directed by McG
"All the flavour of the classic videogame brought to life on the big screen. Every single word of dialogue is correct and the film is three hours long, with a forthcoming DVD release of the six hours cut from the film. The action scenes have none of the style or grace of the game and Solid Snake is played as a drunk for comedic effect by Rob Schneider."
Skies of Arcadia Legends Directed by Paul W.S. Anderson
"While the videogame runs at around 70 hours, this film cuts it all down to a mere 90 minutes. Everything you loved about the game is not here, instead you get a long, drawn out history of the game's characters and how they got into place for the events of the game to happen. It sets up two more films, neither of which has anything to do with the game."
Shadow of the Collosus Directed by Uwe Boll
"The epic videogame brought to the big screen by the master of games! This three hour epic was filmed entirely on location in the Canadian mountains and stars Hayden Christiansen as Wander, the film's hero, out to avenge his mother from the evil Colossi that tore his life apart. Also stars Sarah Michelle Gellar as The Girl, the shooting-from-the-hip, no-nonsense ass-kicking sidekick babe. This is one movie that will bring the house down!"
