'Whip It' Clips

Here's a few clips from Drew Barrymore's directorial debut Whip It which is released this Friday 2nd in 2100 screens across the country. Bliss (Ellen Page) has no interest in the superficial beauty pageants which her mother pressures her to enter and instead decides her calling is in a roller derby team, only she can't skate yet. It's based on the book Derby Girl by Shauna Cross, who wrote the film as well, and also stars Marcia Gay Harden (The Mist, Into the Wild) and Juliette Lewis (Natural Born Killers, From Dusk till Dawn) along with a bunch of other sassy lasses including Barrymore herself.

First clip, Bliss (Ellen Page) confronts her stalker and decides he's boyfriend material:

It looks like a mixture of quirky American indie film/generic sports film, is that a good combination?

This film ended up flopping badly. I thought the femmes would wanna see this.
