A new trailer for upcoming vampire film
Daybreakers has just been released. Set in the near future,
Daybreakers takes place on an Earth where humans are nearly extinct and the world is controlled by vampires. Written and directed by Peter and Michael Spierig (
Undead,
The Big Picture) the film stars Ethan Hawke, Willem Dafoe and Sam Neill.
As you may have noticed , vampires are very much in vogue at the moment. Vampire films have been popping up left right and centre, from Sweden to Korea as well as those films based on that series of books, oooh what are they called... sorry, its completely slipped my mind. Anyway this film looks ok, could be entertaining but it looks as though it is using vampires to make a comment on human nature, how we consume everything until there is nothing left to sustain us. Very poignant, very poignant indeed my friend.
