Rene Russo has joined the cast of Thor, the film to be directed by Kenneth Branagh about Marvel Comics' Norse god of thunder. Russo is set to play Frigga, wife to Odin (the dude we name Wednesday after), step mother of Thor and foster mother to Loki, the villain of the story.

Quote
Mark Protosevich and Zack Stentz penned the script, which has the powerful but arrogant warrior Thor reigniting an ancient war. As punishment, Thor is cast down to Earth and forced to live among humans. Once here, he learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends dark forces of Asgard to invade Earth.

This movie seems to have had an insane amount of casting announcements. A whole lot. There can't be many (if any) more, can there?

Looks like Brannah is building a strong cast for this, Hopkins is either brilliant or awful though as is Kens handling of the megaphone for me, still, it could be a very different kind of superhero movie which is a good thing.

It's not Lethal Weapon 5, but good for her.

I've heard Dead Again and Much Ado are good, but haven't seen them. Hamlet is atrocious.

Much Ado About Nothing is well good! His Benedick is amazing! Hated what he did to Frankenstein because I love the book, but it was a competently directed movie and if it were a property I felt less strongly about I would have enjoyed it.

Dead Again and Frankenstein were crap sticks. Shakespeare doesn't count because wooden acting, dullness and flat jokes go with the territory.
