The first trailers for two of this year's most exciting movies have hit the interwebs. Which movies? Why, Kick-Ass and The A-Team, of course!

First up, let's check out Liam Neeson as Col. John "Hannibal" Smith, Bradley Cooper as Lt. Templeton "Faceman" Peck, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson as Sgt. B.A. "Bad Attitude" Baracus and Sharlto Copley as Capt. H.M. "Howling Mad" Murdock in what might be the most ludicrously sweet-looking remake ever made:

Personally, while the sight of a tank firing at planes while it falls to earth usually makes me shake my head, this is the FREAKING A-TEAM AND THEY ARE IN A TANK SHOOTING AT PLANES WHILE IT FALLS TO THE EARTH. The epic win scale is truly tipping over here. I'm also very interested in seeing more of Sharlto Copley, after his stunning performance in District 9, our favourite movie of 2009.

Up next is Matthew Vaughn's comic book adaptation Kick-Ass, giving you a much greater look at the main cast: Aaron Johnson, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Chloe Grace Moretz and Nicolas Cage.

It looks so good that saying it kicks ass is an understatment. It looks so good that this needs to be watched when it hits the screens in April. (Assuming, of course, that Avatar isn't still playing by then.)

Because we're nice folks, we also have the red band trailer. Naturally, this features swearing and violence, so if you're under eighteen make sure your parents aren't around and that you have the headphones plugged in. Ready? Good.

And now here's an extra bonus - the trailer for the remake of The Karate Kid. It's basically the same as before, only with an old guy saying yes to every role he's offered as Mr Han and Will Smith's kid as the titular Karate Kid. The best part of this trailer is an excellent throwback to the old movie right at the end.

Sorry to be Captain Negative, but these new Kick Ass trailers are NOT doing it for me. I was so excited to see normal people becoming action heros, but apparently if you put on a costume then you automatically learn martial arts ... thereby becoming a real superhero and defeating the entire stated purpose.

A-Team trailer won't play, but I'm uber excited about it!

Damn. That's annoying. I believe it was a leak. Fox have promised a super-glossy version sometime this week.

I was a little mystified by the martial arts, but the fact that it's kids punching adults makes it work for me.

MAAASSSONNN! These aren't the first trailers for Kick-Ass. It even says Trailer 3 on the YouTube video.

At this rate we'll have to rename the site 'Adam Mason's slightly misleading Kick-Ass news'.

The A-Team trailer looks horrible and brilliant at the same time. I'm in.

By the way if anyone's wondering where a week's worth of posts and comments went, please thank Mr. Hacker.

Was it AristotleP that was completely opposed to the A-Team movie? I want thoughts.

He saw this and immediately started queuing for it. That's why he's not here.

He also traded in his PS3 for an XBox, saying it ended three years of regret.

I'm not fussed about it either. The original show means nothing to me, I only know about it from other American shows referencing or talking about it. Was it ever even shown over here? if so it was before I was born anyway.
Saying that, the trailer is good and all 4 are interesting actors, particularly Copley.

That Legion film reminds me of Constantine.

Not bad.

Also reminded me how poor Simon Pegg was as Scotty.
