Prequel before sequel for Bourne

Speaking at the premiere of his latest film Invictus, Matt Damon said that the next film in the Bourne series is likely to be a prequel and he won't be in it.

“There'll probably be a prequel of some kind with another actor and another director before we do another one.
 
“We're probably five years away from another one. We've got to get a script.”

Director of Bourne Ultimatum and Supremacy Paul Greengrass recently indicated that he would only be interested in doing another one if the script was really good. For fans of the Greengrass and Damon combo, Iraq action thriller Green Zone is due out later this year and promises to be every bit as exhilarating as Bourne at his best.
