


This is either lunacy or brilliance: comic book scribe Warren Ellis has been working on Excalibur, and rumour has it director Guy Ritchie is set to join him.
The new version of Arthurian legend is allegedly quite different from previous incarnations:
It differs from the prior 751 King Arthur movies in many ways, but perhaps most obviously in that it is very specifically about the gathering of the Knights.

Hopefully, whatever version of the King Arthur story we end up with, it is nothing like the one with Keira Knightley and Clive Owen, because that one literally took everything cool about King Arthur, tore it up and threw it out of a window. They took the myth out of the myth. Why would you do that?
