Yeah I saw that earlier today. Love how he specifically rules out Mr.Freeze.

[Inception] tells a tale that flips between reality and three levels of dream-time

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?   Shocked

Love everything in that interview apart from the sequel to TDK being the third and final act. That means they'll reboot it afterwards  Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry
I just want them to wrap up a story arc and let someone try to take over where they left off.

Not enough levels of dream time. Disappointed.

On an average night I have four, so this movie is below average.

I semi-agree about TDK, but the thing is, I'd rather see a complete set of great movies than a perpetual story that slides into mediocrity. All great stories have great endings. Otherwise we get Part 4: Rise of Mr. Freeze

I know they probably will reboot it but I don't see how they can do it. Nolan has made it as gritty and realistic as possible so they would have to go in the opposite direction and while i really like the original Tim Burton film, I don't think people would be able to accept something like that after Nolan's films.

It is good to make it finite, you comic book guys never want stuff to end  Cool

The universe they're created and its villains could run for 10 movies. It's just selfish if he ends it at 3. If this one ends with Batman in a pool of blood and someone saying "He was the hero - etc etc" I'm going to be pissed.

Actually, it's the opposite of selfish. The guy's got great characters, money, and an entire studio in the palm of his hand. If he ends it, and I mean HIS story, not all of Batman, then he's being incredible brave in my opinion. He has a sure thing, but his talent wants him to end it.  Why critique a guy for where his talent leads his story when we've been lauding him for just that for the past four years.

The same "universe" can always carry on (assuming he doesn't kill bats).

And if he does, well, then just like the comics, someone else can step in with a three movie story arc or something.

It's the Gospel Truth

Actually, I'd be happy for them to stop at around 6 or 7 films. Star Wars and Harry Potter got that many. But yeah, the nature of most superhero stories is that they're ongoing, and I do like it that way.

My complaint is he sounds like he's going to end the universe, meaning it'll need a reboot.

Exactly. If what he means is end the story that they started in Batman Begins, as in close the first chapter of Batman's life, then that would be the best possible scenario.
