Chris Morris, the wonderfully demented mind behind some of television's greatest comedies including The Day Today, Jam, Brass Eye and Nathan Barley is returning very soon with a new masterpiece.

Four Lions is the story of four British Muslims determined to go down in history as master terrorists. Unfortunately, they're utterly terrible at everything they do, seeing them attempt to place bombs on crows, the internet and finally, the London Marathon.

Four Lions was originally designed as a TV comedy, but every channel passed up on it out of fear. Expect it to be as gloriously offensive as defecating on a stranger on their birthday. Trailer is below:

If you're unfamiliar with the works of Chris Morris, get to know him sharpish. The man has a keen eye for observing the very worst in people, and nowhere is this highlighted better than the utterly peerless Brass Eye.

Brass Eye, of course, holds roots back in The Day Today, a news show spoof that somehow actually still feels current, dispite being aired in 1994 - pretty spectacular stuff.

Morris singlehandedly brought the entire UK crashing to its knees in 2001 with a special one-off Brass Eye about paedophiles. It holds the record for second-highest number of complaints ever, just behind the televised edition of Jerry Springer: The Opera.

Morris also once managed to appear on a live TV chat show without anyone knowing who he was and stir up trouble just for the hell of it.

And if you're still thinking, 'this isn't that offensive,' here's a special sketch Morris did for 9/11, staring useless reporter Peter O'Hanra-Hanrahan.

I didn't censor, some of the videos can't be embedded so had to be linked to. The forum's unusual system for putting up youtube video gets round the no embed rule on youtube but front page posts can't. In other words, when it says 'Embedding Disabled By Request' next to a YouTube video this problem arises.

I'm always here to entertain with poorly explained embedding rules.

Basically he's a legendary maverick in British TV whose projects have found it increasingly difficult/impossible to get to the screens. He never made it to the States in any way, shape or form. If he had the uproar he would have caused would have been x1000.
