The long awaited trailer for the
long awaited movie adaptation of Scott Pilgrim has hit the net! It is the most hype inducing trailer since Tron Legacy. Behold:
Michael Cera stars as Scott Pilgrim, lead singer of crappy, unsigned band Sex Bob-Omb (that’s a Super Mario reference, n00bs), and Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Ramona Flowers, the girl of Scott’s dreams. Literally. He dreams about her, and then she shows up. In pursuit of her he has to fight her seven evil ex-boyfriends, evade his jilted ex Knives Chau, and put up with Wallace Wells (Kieran Culkin), the gay roommate that he sleeps with (but not in a gay way). It's an epic love story, a teen comedy and a bizarre action piece set in Canada, influenced by music, video games, manga and real life, it really is like nothing else. The sixth and final volume of the comic book series on which the movie is based will be released just ahead of the film, and the ending is apparently a little different, but everything else about the movie seems pretty faithful.

Let us know what you think of the trailer! It's already popular as hell,
beating Justin Bieber as a Twitter trending topic and
a soundtrack touted as 2010s best. I loved it. So much so I rejigged the trailer a little, fun times:

I know, I should have waited a few months until there was more footage to play with, or a few years until I learned how to edit.

You can also enjoy the trailer in HD over on
Apple, and you can enjoy a song from the soundtrack by Metric right here:
