The Empire magazine film awards took place last night, where the winners are picked exclusively by the fans and the readers. What this usually means is that the films that have thus far been garnering huge amounts of praise will be kicked aside in favour of the bigger, ballsier blockbusters. This year is no different:

To be fair, it is about bloody time In The Loop won something, having missed out on both a BAFTA and an Oscar. Christoph Waltz seems to have cleaned up at every awards ceremony there is.
