The reaction to the recent 'Tron Legacy' trailer was a unanimous 'thumbs up'. The film isn't due out until December 17th but Disney already has its sights set on a sequel. In fact Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, the 'Lost' writers/executive producers who co-wrote the first film, have started writing a sequel and there are even murmurs that they are writing it as the second part of a trilogy.
Of course this is all hypothetical at the moment as the sequel will only happen if 'Tron Legacy' is a hit. This seems pretty likely following the positive response to the trailer plus the fact that the original still has a few fans knocking around. The mid- December release date is obviously an attempt to replicate the success of a lil old film that did pretty well last year with a similar release date. IT'S AVATAR, I'M TALKING ABOUT AVATAR, jeez you guys are slow.
