The after-thought of Spider-Man 3 becoming a tad self-indulgent has possibly been the driving force behind this but Sam Raimi has decided to come back to the horror genre and direct a story he co-wrote with brother, Ivan, back in the early 90s. The film called "Drag Me Back To Hell" will essentially be a supernatural-morality tale in which the main character is given powers that he will later regret having.
Hmm... There are also rumours that film will focus on scares rather than using blood and gore to punctuate the terror... eh?
Hmm... The film will also be produced under Raimi's Ghost House Pictures, a company that is notorious for adding to and possibly being responsible for, all the tame PG-13 horror movies that are desperate to achieve what the original Japanese Ring film did... i.e. see "Hmm point #1" above.
Hmm... "Boogeyman" anyone? Rise anyone? The Grudge 2 (2006) anyone?
Please, someone convince me that this will actually be any good...
